He was predeceased by: his parents, George Biere and Mary Biere (Schmidt); his brothers, Harold Biere (Jean), Marvin Biere, Raymond Biere (Norma) and Harlan Biere (Donna); his daughter-in-law Ann Biere (Reinders); his parents-in-law, Howard Timmerman and Dottie Timmerman (Ankrom); and his brother-in-law Jere Timmerman.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Biere (Timmerman) of Paul's Lutheran Church; his sons, Dan Biere (Sue) of Eden Prairie, MN, Douglas Biere (Dawn) of Johnston, IA and Darin Biere (Kathy) of Webster City, IA.; his grandchildren, Nick Biere (Sophie), Tim Biere (Caitlin), Brandon Biere (Mollie), Brittney Biere, Kaitlyn McCoy (Cody) and Courtney Biere (Ryan Heinrichs); his great grandchildren, Zander Biere, Bennett Biere, Brooks Biere, Benjamin Biere and Maverick McCoy; and his sister-in-law Evelyn Biere.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Salem Lutheran Church (602 W Townline St, Creston, IA 50801). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church or Habitat for Humanity.
