She was predeceased by: her parents, Loren Raymond Johnson and Goldie May Johnson (Kemp); and her husband John McManus (Red). She is survived by: her children, Michael McManus (Marline) of Blue Springs, MO, Benita Brightwell (Doug) of Creston, IA and Patrick McManus (Connie) of Springfield, MO; her grandchildren, Isaac, Ian McManus (Natalie), Kaitlin Dorsey (Cory) and Emma Brightwell; Kaisley, Carson, Cade Dorsey and Serena McManus.
A rosary was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 4:30 PM at the Powers Funeral Home (601 New York Ave, Creston, IA 50801). Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Malachy School or to the Gibson Memorial Library.
