He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Pierpoint and Mary Pierpoint (Miller); his wife Mary Alice Kurtz; his brother Loren Pierpoint; and his grandchildren, Shane Simmons and Gayle Cordle.
He is survived by: his children, Ann Simmons, Kay Medsker (Norman) and Greg Pierpoint (Robin); his brother Don Pierpoint (Linda); his sister-in-law Anna Lou Doebbeling; and his grandchildren, Doug Medsker (Sara), Josh Simmons, Creston, Scott Pierpoint and Kent Pierpoint. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
