He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Ellen (Fine) and Floyd D. Brown; his brother Delmer Brown; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Brown. He is survived by: his former wife Karen R. England; his son David Brown (Crystal Taylor) of Creston; his grandchildren, Brian Mogle (Tia) of Des Moines, Brandon Taylor (Alexias) of St. Joe and Jamie Renth (Thomas) of Nashville, Ill.; and his sister-in-law Alice Brown of Winterset. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, many extended family and friends.
