He is survived by: his parents, Christi Kay Merboth (Hamilton) of Creston and Michael Merboth (Janie) of Orient, Iowa; his siblings, Josh Merboth (Fiance' Jessica Lundt) of Decorah, Iowa and Melissa Kauzlarich of Indianola, Iowa; his nieces and nephews, Kristina, Devon, Seth, Mindy Watrous of Des Moines, Tristan and Logan; his grandparents, Warren and Marlene Merboth of Creston; his aunts and uncles, Lori Hays (John) of Creston, Cathy Woods of Osage Beach, Missouri, Steve Hamilton of McGregor and Buckie Stanley; and his cousins, Cain, Cole Lacina, Miranda, Samantha Hays, Dustin, Kassie Hamilton, Alissa and Serenity Hays.
