She was predeceased by: her parents, Frelo Stringham and Irene Stringham (Meeks); her parents-in-law, Mansel and Harriet Nurnberg; her brothers-in-law, Simpson and Eldon "Ellie" Still; and her sister Kay Young.

She is survived by: her husband Roger Nurnberg; her daughters, Kathryn Arevalo (Isaias) of Lenox, Leah Nordman (Chad) of Cedar Falls and Stephani Harms (Christopher) of Kansas City, Missouri.; her sister Janice Still of Mt Ayr; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Custer (Christina) of Lenox, Steffan Custer (Katie) of Arvada, Colorado, Aurora JoAnn Arevalo of Ames, Jacob Nordman (Tiana) of Tripoli, Sam Nordman of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Dustin Harms, Heather Harms of Kansas City, MO and Nathan Harms of Peculiar, MO. She is also survived by three great grandsons, many distant relatives.
