He was predeceased by: his mother Karolyn Hayes; and his grandparents, Betty and Edward Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Amber Hayes; his children, Brianna Hayes, Kennedy of Creston, Iowa. and Nick Hayes of Creston, Iowa.; his siblings, Jason Hayes of Chariton, Buck Hayes of St. Joseph, Missouri and Carrie Lankford (Ryan) of Norwalk, Iowa; his father Ron Hayes of Laurel, Iowa.; and his parents-in-law, Denzel and Vickie Young of Mt. Ayr.
Memorials may be directed to the Joseph Hayes Memorial Fund, to be established by the family.
