With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary E. Clayton of Creston, Iowa, who passed away on January 8, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Foreman (Richards) and James William Foreman; her husband Richard "Dick" Clayton; her son John Clayton; her siblings, Herman Foreman, James Foreman (Margaret), Shirley Ann Reeves (Gail), Christine Kammerer (Ronnie), June Henderson (Gary) and Patricia Rush (Richard); and her brother-in-law Jack Baker.
She is survived by: her sons, Duane Clayton (Lori) of Creston, Alan Clayton of Sharpsburg and William Clayton (Janelle) of Waukee; and her sister Rosalie Baker of Davenport. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
