(Howard) Somers; wife: Cheryl Somers; sons: Matt (Deb) Somers, Tim (Shannan) Somers, and the late Chris Somers; grandchildren: Kainen (Lex) Somers, Camryn (Luke) Neitzel, Kyle Somers, Kade, Owen, Quin Somers, Everett (Wyatt) Mahaffy, and the late Teagan Vaughan Somers; great-grandchildren: Masyn and Myles Neitzel; siblings: Jim Somers (Leslie Kuhnel), Cathy Ruocco, and the late Bill Somers; sister-in-law: Kathy Somers; brother-in-law: Larry Widlowski and the late Joe Ruocco; other: Father Patrick Amedeka.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Powers Funeral Home (601 New York Ave, Creston, IA 50801). A rosary will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (107 W Howard St, Creston, IA 50801).

In lieu of flowers, memorials are to the Paul B. Somers Endowment through SWCC, St. Malachy School or the Crestmoor Golf Club.
