He was predeceased by: his stepfather Von Tull; and his siblings, Gary Hansen (Janette) and Tammy Steele. He is survived by: his mother Jule Leon Hansen (McVay) of Afton; his wife Deb Hansen of Creston; his children, Jessica Richter (Ingo) of Germany, Jordan Hoag (Parker VanPelt) of Creston, Amber Keller (Andy) of Auburn, Neb. and Megan Shinn (Nathan) of Orient; his brother Ivan Hansen of Arkansas; his mother-in-law Neoma Davis of Creston; and his sister-in-law Dianna Davis of Creston. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Powers Funeral Home (601 New York Ave, Creston, IA 50801). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Creston VFW Post #1797.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are to the family.
