She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Gabriel Hawks and Margaret Regina "Madge" Hawks (Treanor); her sons, Edward "Ed" and Charles "Chuck" Day; her siblings, Bill Hawks and Mary Smith; her nephew Steve Hawks; and her in-laws, Frank and Opal Day.
She is survived by: her husband Robert A. Day; her sons, Michael Day (Janette) of Camden Point, Missouri, Thomas Day (Tami) of Creston and Kevin Day (Christy) of Hickory; her sisters, Julie Black (Val) of Shenandoah and Ellen Reece (Ken) of Creston, Iowa; and her siblings-in-law, Harriet Hawks of Des Moines, Iowa and Ron Smith of Arispe, Iowa. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
