He is survived by: his wife Shirley Charlene Carns of Creston; his children, Sandra Matthews (John) of Smithville, Brian Lininger (Shannon) of New Boston and Stephen Lininger (Amy) of Spring Hill, Tenn.; his sister Patricia Huntington (Cliff) of Omaha, Neb.; and his grandchildren, Cole Matthews of Wichita, Collin Lininger of Parkville, Brooklyn Lininger of Iowa City, Macy of Spring Hill, Tenn., Cass of Spring Hill, Tenn. and Jack Lininger of Spring Hill, Tenn..
