Rodney Abel Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rodney Abel (Creston, Iowa), who passed away on October 30, 2022 at the age of 61. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rodney Abel to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his father Chester "Chet" Abel; his grandparents, Earl, Gladys Abel, Harold and Hazel Kralik; and his great-grandparents, Ed and Mollie Kralik.

He is survived by: his mother Betty Abel of Creston; his son Jordan Deane of Kingsville, MO; his wife Marla Searles; his son Jarod Abel (Karlea); his granddaughter Linnea Margaret Abel of Pittsburgh, KS; his stepdaughters, Kelsey Searles of Harrisonville, MO and Megan Searles of Columbia, MO; his brother Brady Abel of Peoria, AZ; and his parents-in-law, Bill and Phyllis Hughes of Harrisonville, MO. He is also survived by aunts, cousins, other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Cromwell United Church of Christ or the Cromwell Cemetery Association in Rod's name.
