He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Hampton and Mergie Irene Hampton (Roland); his daughter Cindy Hampton; his brothers, Roy Dean and Russell Hampton (Ellen); and his son-in-law Jim Fiebke.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Allen; his children, Terri Hampton-Fiebke of Rochester, Minn, Ronda Aschan (Roger) of Murray and Scott Hampton (Peggy) of Creston; his sister Linda Hasso (Don) of Johnston; his grandchildren, Benjamin Westfall (Bethann), Andrew Westfall (Alyson), Page Rowley (Benjamin), Jennifer Hampton, Amber Kauffman (Shannon), Michael Fauth, Nicole Hampton, Bre'anna Petersen (Chris), Scott Hampton (Andrea), Renee Webb, Hannah Hampton, Rici Hampton, Brandon Aschan (Carrie), Bethany Aschan (Cliff Ritchie), Chrystal Henrichs (Jesse), Darcy Aschan (Ryan Clark) and Travis Aschan (Katie); and his great grandchild Daisy Rowley.
