He was predeceased by: his siblings, Sherie Goodrich and Steve Sandeman; his parents-in-law, Sue and Addis Routh; and his uncle Max Sandeman.

He is survived by: his wife Gwen Sandeman of Creston; his children, Shelley Wasileski of Virginia Beach, Holly Bills (Kevin) of Creston, Iowa and Barry Sandeman (Julie) of Creston; his grandchildren, Britni Kawa (Jake), Cameron Wasileski and Cort Sandeman (Ellie); his great grandchildren, Breckyn and Bradley Kawa; his grandsons, Sultan, Vinny and Zailey Sandeman; and his aunt Birdie Sandeman. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
