Ted Olson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ted Olson in Cromwell, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 14, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Olson and Darlene Olson (O'Riley); his brother John Olson; and his parents-in-law, Everett and Alice Fletcher.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his son Ted Jr. Olson (Jennifer); his grandson Travis (Emily); his child Shirlye Gaskin (Sylvester); his grandchildren, Sylvester III (Felisia), Kyle, Kristina Foss (Tom), Samantha Halsey (Patrick), Alica Billings (Blair), Margaret and Troy Olson; his great grandchildren, Alexandria Clifton (Mark) and Nicholas (Bailley); his sisters, Dorothy Dick and Sue Phipps; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Bird, Diana Olson, Bonnie Fletcher, Jolene Fletcher, Rich, Tom Fletcher and Dale Magee. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Cromwell Cemetery (1774 Monroe Ave, Creston, IA 50842). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mitchellville Community Center (120 2nd St NE, Mitchellville, IA 50169).
