He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert James and Arlene James (Croghan); his wife Benna Thompson; his granddaughter Danika James; and his daughter-in-law Carla James.
He is survived by: his children, Robbie James of Omaha, Catherine James of Omaha, Allen James of Council Bluffs and David James of Glidden, Iowa; his grandchildren, Chris James and Justin James (Camille); his great grandchildren, Jayvon Morrison, Justin Morrison, Jr. and Jamari Morrison; and his sisters, Louise McNelly of Belton, Beverly Garret (Larry) of Branson, Mary Burns of Mesa and Bernadine Crampton of Seward, Nebraska. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorials: To Robert James Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date.
