He was predeceased by: his parents, William Charles and Betty Nixt (Burrier); and his siblings, Gary Nixt and Cynthia Ross. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Schwartzkopf; his daughters, Erin Pedersen (Andrew) of Humboldt and Emily Lynch (Jay) of Gilmore City; his grandchildren, Jacob, Darla Pedersen, Allison Nathan (Brody Paterson) and Erika Lynch; his sisters, Linda Brunner (Richard) of Riceville and Patsy Beaver of Charles City; and his siblings-in-law, Mark Schwartzkopf of Charles City, John Schwartzkopf of Charles City and Julie Sivill (John) of Lakeside, CA..
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lentz Funeral Home (1210 3rd Ave N, Humboldt, IA 50548).
