She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Leslie Means and Erma Luella Means (Long); her grandmother Bessie Long; her husband Jack Hoffman; her siblings, Max Means, Mary Jo Fulton, Betty Ann Easter and Ellen Louise; and her grandson Nathan Hoffman.
She is survived by: her son Timothy Hoffman (Elaine) of Adel; her grandchildren, Kerry Ausmus (Tom) and Kathryn Hoffman; her great grandchildren, Benjamin Ausmus and Samuel Ausmus; and her brother-in-law Jerry Hoffman (Ella Jean).
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Powers Funeral Home (612 N Dodge St, Afton, IA 50830). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Powers Funeral Home - Afton (612 N Dodge St, Afton, IA 50830).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are kindly suggested to the Shannon City Church or to the East Union Dollars for Scholars fund.
