We bid farewell to Thomas C. Schimmer of Danbury, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 2, 2025 at the age of 76. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clem Schimmer and Mary Schimmer (Gahan); his wife Joyce Schimmer; his in-laws, Stanley and Florence Kapusta (Drugan); his brother Rev. Robert J. Schimmer; and his siblings-in-law, Catherine Schimmer, Leo Meier and Bill Karhoff.
He is survived by: his sons, Ryan Schimmer (Jennifer) of Aurora, CO and Joel Schimmer (Sheila) of Burlingame, CA; his grandchildren, Patrick, Molly and Ava; his siblings, John Schimmer of Napa, CA, Betty Meier of Sioux City, IA and Jean Karhoff of Sioux City, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Janice Pacenta (Thomas) of Hudson, OH, Jill Lewis (Rick) of Kent, OH, Gerald Kapusta (Marcia) of Wauchula, FL, Gregory Kapusta (Sherry) of Georgetown, KY and Jeffrey Kapusta (Kellie) of Kent, OH. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Mary's Catholic Church-Danbury (604 Peach St, Danbury, IA 51019). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church-Danbury (604 Peach St, Danbury, IA 51019).
