She was predeceased by: her parents, Merlin L. "Mac" McGowan and Hazel Mae McGowan (Thomas); and her brother Thomas L McGowan. She is survived by: her husband Ken Lawson; her sister-in-law Kathy McGowan; her sibling's children, Nicole McGowan of Waterloo and T. J. McGowan (Lisa) of Cedar Falls; her great-nephews, Cade, Adonis, Terril (Shireens), Mersadies and Taytum; her stepdaughters, Vicki Poe of Nederland, CO. and Sheri Jandik of New Virginia, IA.; and her caregivers, Shanna Sourwine, Brisa Pedroza, Gema Velez, Cindy, Mike Bosold, Kimberly Gilbertson and Kim Schaefer.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Johns United Methodist Church (109 E 14th St, Davenport, IA 52803). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
