He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph A. Sheckles and Hazel Sheckles (Ortery); his siblings, Ralph Jr., Leona Springer and Karen Hansen; and his sons-in-law, Chris Luster and Joe Clark.
He is survived by: his wife Lynne Koller; his children, Cynthia Luster, Fred Ortery (Karen), Sarah Clark, DeWitt, Monty Sheckles (Julie), Tony Sheckles (Lynda) and Jay Sheckles (Nichole); and his sisters, Connie Walker and Alice Schlup (Paul). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
