He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen Scott and Gregg Scott; his granddaughters, Lily Grace Hanson and Kensley Scott; his sister-in-law Kay Scott; and his nephew Russell Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Patty; his children, Jennifer Hanson (Kevin) of Virginia and Jeffrey Scott (Amy) of Bettendorf; his grandchildren, Nathan, Luke, Jacob Hanson, Kennedy, Kendall and Kamden Scott; and his siblings, Bill (Kay), David (Kerry), Judy (Dick) and Sue (Paul). He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews and 61 first cousins.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Bernie's name to assist in the future training of students pursuing a career in the Electrical profession. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Electrical Training Center.
