She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Kardel and Mabel Kardel (Schlunsen); her husband Harlan; her son Mark; and her sister Marvella.

She is survived by: her son David; her daughter-in-law Delia; her granddaughters, Nell, Lee and Lana; and her sister Doris Klahn. She is also survived by 5 nephews, five nephews.

Donations in her name may be made to the German American Heritage Center & Museum.
