Bernice Verre Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernice Verre of Davenport, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 5, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick Hopewell and Tina Hopewell (Heuer); her husband Joseph Verre; her daughters, Cynthia Verre and Christine; her grandson Jeremiah Verre; and her siblings, Della McArtor, Genevieve Albee Verre and Patrick Hopewell, Jr..
She is survived by: her son Steve Verre; her grandchildren, Destiny Puente (Andrew), Josh Verre (Katie) and Samuel Gonzales (Valerie); her granddaughter-in-law Jessica Verre; her great grandchildren, Miles Verre, Rory Vogt, Joseph, Ty Puente, Johnny, Mollie Verre, Milo and Maverick Gonzalez; and her sibling's children, Carla Hairston, Jim Faramelli and Denny Verre.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home (614 Main St, Davenport, IA 52803). A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Myhre Syndrome Foundation in honor of her grandson Ty Puente.
