She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Stern and Ida Stern (Bull); her former husband Billy Slade; and her grandson Steven Charles Hein Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Linda Hein of Clinton, IA, Tim Slade (Terri Fuller) of South Carolina, Steven Slade (Jan) of Bettendorf, Brett Slade of Clinton and Kory Slade (Paula) of La Grange, Texas; and her siblings, Caroline Bramm of Lyndon, Illinois and Elsworth Stern of Sun City, Arizona. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
