It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Blanche I. Clay of Davenport, Iowa, born in Grand Chain, Illinois, who passed away on February 19, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Jack" Claypool and Audrey Claypool (Henderson); her husband Mark Clay Jr.; her children, Mark Clay III and Beverly Steward; and her grandson Angelo Pate.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Clay of Kansas City, MO, Craig Clay (Carol) of Davenport, Eric Johnson (Shaune) of Davenport, Sandra Smith (Roger) of Davenport, Janet Harris of Davenport, Kathleen Horton (Roy) of Davenport, Audrey Clay of Davenport, Lorri Clay of Davenport, JoAnn Tatum (Marvin) of Milwaukee, WI, Steven Clay (Sheryl) of East Moline, IL, Ercie Gooding, Christine Clay, Marsha Morgan (Tim) and Sharon Bland (Charles) of Austin, TX. She is also survived by 39 grandchildren; 78 great grandchildren; 23 great great grandchildren; one great great great grandchild; a brother and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to the family or Mt. Sinai Fellowship Church.
