Catherine Conger Obituary
Memorial services celebrating the life of Catherine "Kay" Conger, 72, of Davenport, will be 11am Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Downtown Davenport. Visitation will be from 9:30am until time of service at the funeral home. Keeping with her wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be private at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.

Mrs. Conger passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. Catherine Agnes Munn was born May 16, 1939 in Waterloo, a daughter of Earl and June (Hamman) Munn.
She was united in marriage to Dale Conger November 10, 1958 in Iowa City. He survives her. Kay was a homemaker and enjoyed arts and crafts projects, painting, bingo, playing cards, and above all taking care of her family. Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter were her favorite holidays as they brought the family together. She was a mother to everyone and a very giving person and would not only give you the shirt off her back but her last dollar too.
In addition to Dale, her husband of 53 years, survivors include her sons Charles (Karen) Conger, Duane (Sara) Conger, David and Brad Conger, all of Davenport; grandchildren Alex and Brianna Conger, Brenda (Jamie Milam) Thomas, Derek Thomas, Ashley, Cody, Amber Conger, Stephanie Gwynn, Shannon and Brittany O&Bryan, Zachary, Racheal, and Garrett Conger; great grandchildren Savannah, Isaiah, Ayden, Kyler, and Promise; and sister Caroline Toler, Davenport.
Her daughter Carol Marie and parents preceded her in death.
