With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Curtis R. Evans Sr. of Davenport, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 24, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Curtis R. Evans Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Evans and Evalina Evans (Moon); his daughter Melody Evans; his son-in-law Michael Yaudas; and his half-brother Michael Lind.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon K. Reeves; his children, Marty Weaver, Kathy Yaudas, Annette Hamilton (Bones Matkovich), Julie Parks, Lynne Sawyer (Jon), Angie Mills (Brian) and Curt Evans Jr. (Sara); and his grandchild Shalana Evans. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home (644 River Dr, Bettendorf, IA 52722). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
