He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Wessel and Maxine Wessel; his brother David; and his sister-in-law Kathy. He is survived by: his wife Jan; his sons, Jon Wessel (Suzy), Timothy Wessel (Lisa) and Chris Wessel; his grandchildren, Molly Andrews (Robbie), Mitchell McIntire, Jessica Jones (Charles), Teryn Lynum (Alton), Danica Wessel, Matthew Wessel (Megan) and McKenzie Wessel; and his siblings, John Wessel (Carol), Dennis Wessel (Sandy), Mary Keel (Bill) and Jeff Wessel (Marla). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Kahl Home or Genesis Hospice.
