She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Mercy "Mike" Bribriesco and Irene Bribriesco (Meierotto); her husband Donald A. Schmidt; her children, Tammy Hart (J. T.) of Davenport, Vicki MacDonald (Scott) of Stratton, Maine, Dave Schmidt of Bettendorf, Robert Schmidt (Carrie) of Blue Grass and John Coonfare (Teresa) of Davenport; her sister Linda Kessler (Michael) of Spokane, Washington; her brother-in-law Robert Emmert of Fayetteville; and her sisters, Marge Emmert and Bertha Jansen.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home (644 River Dr, Bettendorf, IA 52722). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
