She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Borcher and Claire "Tootie" Borcher; and her brother Kenny Borcher. She is survived by: her sons, Dave Schurke (Kami), Derek "Turtle" Schurke (Jennifer) and Brad Youngs; her grandchildren, Haley, Tanner, Dakota, Dillon, Paige (Bre), Payton, Adam, Paxton and Derek Lee (Kaizlee); her great grandchildren, Nyla, Myah, Remi, Derik, Elliot, Rayden, Emery, Addy, Amir and Eleanor; her siblings, Rita McCormick (Gene Cornish), Tina Goodall (Sam) and Jesse Borcher (Catherine); and her cousin Nancy Knapper.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Iowa Hope Lodge, Iowa City, which provides free lodging for cancer patients and their families.
