He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Russell Chapman and Eleanor Chapman (Butts) of Davenport; his close friend Julie Adams of Davenport; his children, Ashley Kern (Robert) of Davenport and Travis Chapman of Davenport; his grandchildren, Emmalynn and Cullen Kern; his stepdaughters, Taylor Adams (Dustin Burnaugh) of Macomb and Jordan Adams of Davenport; his sisters, Shirley Chapman of Davenport and Cheryl (Gary Baumgarten) of Davenport; his siblings' children, Christopher Baumgarten, Josh Daily, Amanda Otto and Sara Daily; his friends, Chris Skibbe and Terry Harnden; and his wife Teresa L. Meier.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home (644 River Dr, Bettendorf, IA 52722). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 6:15 PM at 102 N Main St, Port Byron, IL 61275.
