“Sorry to hear of the passing of your father. You don't know me but I seen it on the news tonight that he was the last Quad City Pearl Harbor Survivor. They said he was on the West Virgina when they were attacked. My dad was also on the West Virgina that day. He was 17 years old at the time. He grew up in Prophetstown, Illinois . He passed away 20 years ago from cancer. We can be so proud of our fathers for serving our country and they will never be forgotten.”
