She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Roxlau and Laila Roxlau (Schurk); her husband Jack Groene; and her siblings, Carol Tweedy of Dekalb, IL, Ric Roxlau of Ft. Madison, IA and Connie Sieren.
She is survived by: her children, Jean Thomas (Doug) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Barb Milke (Chris) of Davenport, IA, Jay Groene of Atlanta, GA, Brad Groene (Julie) of Colchester, CT, Brian Groene (Robin) of Valparaiso, IN and Jacki Hakimzadeh (Dar) of Fulshear, TX; her grandchildren, Alyssa Thomas (Ben Mena), Derek Thomas (Tracie), Emily, Chelsea Milke, Connor, Hailey Groene, Chris Cather (Rochelle), Courtney Groene (Albert Shane), Alexander, Ashley and Allie Hakimzadeh; her great grandchildren, Liam, Ryan and Zachary; and her brother-in-law Jim Sieren of Keota, IA. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
