She is survived by: her children, Reyes Gonzalez Jr. (Vanessa), Lavontra McGowan and Lavon McGowan Jr.; her grandchildren, Lyla Rose McGowan, Malakai Gonzalez and Araya Rose Gonzalez; and her siblings, James Thomas, Melvin Thomas, David Thomas and Garcia Thomas.
