He is survived by: his wife Karen Markley; his children, Julie Johnson (Chris), Daniel Ellis (Brijette) and Joy Van Dyke (Mark); his grandchildren, Monica Johnson, Luke Johnson, Elijah Ellis, Sydney Ellis, Naomi Ellis, Grant Van Dyke and Allison Getz; his great grandchildren, Harrison Van Dyke, Charlotte Van Dyke, Kenneth Getz and Mary Getz; and his sister Christine Christman.
