He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dallas Pottinger, Sr. and Sudie Mae Pottinger (Samuels); his children, Terry Moore, George Dallas IV, Michael, Jacquelyn, Dwight Delton and Duranal Clark Pottinger; and his brother John William Wesson.

He is survived by: his wife Judith Pottinger; and his children, Debra Gay (Ron) of Milwaukee, WI, Donna Evans (Richard) of Milwaukee, WI, Darius Pottinger (Sandra) of Milwaukee, WI, Derwin Pottinger, Sr. of Milwaukee, WI, Dion Lawrence (Jonie) of Milwaukee, WI and Lori (Johnnie). He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Seventh-Day Adventist Church building fund.
