As we bid Gladys farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gladys is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle Schulty and Ruth Schulty (Boyd); her husband Alfred Conner; and her siblings, Robert Schulty, James Schulty (Nancy) and Diana Creech.
She is survived by: her children, Kathryn Conner (Minneapolis), Alan Conner (Davenport) and Laura (Eric).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home (614 Main St, Davenport, IA 52803). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church (417 Main St, Davenport, IA 52801). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
