He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Quyen Uy and Trung Thi Nguyen; his wife Xuyen Dinh; his children, Hau Uy (Linh Lam), Hoang Uy (Thanh Phan), Tu Uy (Hung Ly), Cong Uy (Tami Tran), Khanh Uy (Mai Phan), Thien Uy (Thuy Phan) and Khai Uy (Ngan Ngo); and his grandchildren, Van Lam, Nga Lam, Michelle Lam, Anthony Phan, Peter Phan, Matthew Ly, Theresa Ly, Joseph Ly, Veronica Uy, Gabbie Uy, Maddie Uy, Vanessa Uy, Maria Uy, John Uy and Estella Ngo-Uy.
Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Cathedral for Masses.
