She was predeceased by: her parents, John McGowan and Katie McGowan (Dove); her sons, James and Terry; and her siblings, Carey McGowan, Otis McGowan, Henry McGowan, Wheatley McGowan, Hugh McGowan, Dewit McGowan, Ethel Chandler, Ruby McGowan and Lorraine Major.

She is survived by: her children, Norman Waters (Teresa) of Davenport, Gary Waters (Stephanie) of Davenport and Yolanda Waters of Davenport. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
