He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Fifer and Doris Fifer (Sanders); and his brothers, Ray, Gary, John Fifer and Rick Timmerman.
He is survived by: his wife Debra J. "Debbie" Miller of Mark's Lutheran Church; his children, Chad Miller and Kimberlee Moraetes (Michael); his grandchildren, Makayla Miller, Marissa Miller, Zachary Fifer, Gabriel Moraetes, Anthony Moraetes, Kirsten Moraetes and Nicholas "Nicky" Moraetes; his great grandchildren, Julian and Luis; and his siblings, Rose of Davenport, John Simons of Davenport, Kirk Fifer of Davenport, Bill Fifer of Davenport, Candace Carter of Davenport and Brian Fifer (Angie Mortimer) of Davenport.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home (614 Main St, Davenport, IA 52803). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
