He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gibson and Bessie Gibson (Rhoads); his son James L Gibson; his son-in-law Bill Bailey; his grandson Trent Gibson; and his siblings, Bonnie Ward, Sharon, Karen Gibson and Willie Wayne Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Gibson; his children, Joseph A Gibson, Jeffrey L. Gibson and Deanna M Bailey; and his grandchildren, James L Gibson Jr., Tiffany Richardson, Kyler Gibson, Courtney Gibson, Erika Newman, Cody Malmberg, Katlynn Marti, Logan Bailey, Maquala Wilkins and William Bailey Jr.. He is also survived by 34 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Runge Mortuary (838 E Kimberly Rd, Davenport, IA 52807). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
