He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlin Capesius and Rita Capesius (Weber); his daughter Mary Ann; and his siblings, Kenny Capesius and Mary Jo Becker.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sutherland; his children, Sandra Ragan (Gary) of Liberty, Catherine Mostaert (Gregg) of Long Grove, Julie Kramer (Chris Dahlberg) of Kellogg and David Capesius of Sycamore, Illinois; his grandchildren, Holden Kramer, James Ragan, Gabriella McDermott (Max), Joseph Mostaert, Sarah Ragan and Anna Mostaert; and his siblings, Merlin Capesius of Bettendorf, Carol Watters (Richard) of Davenport, Sharon Schumacher (Steve) of Hazel Green, Sue Flogel (Tim) of La Mott and Barb Gleason (Dan) of Kieler, Wisconsin.
Memorials may be made to the family for masses and other spiritual gifts that were important to Jim.
