He was predeceased by: his parents, James Stelk and Ruth Stelk; his wife Theresa O'Rourke Stelk; and his brother John Stelk (Debra). He is survived by: his siblings, Thomas Stelk (Deborah) and Susan Mikkelson (Richard). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
