He was predeceased by: his father Vern "Whitey" Schissel; and his siblings, Peggy, Dellane, Lori and Frank.
He is survived by: his mother Sharleen Schissel; his wife Eileen Stoefen; his stepdaughter Ann (Manuel); his stepgrandchildren, Isabellah, Enrique and Samuel; his siblings, Pam, John of Dubuque and Tom of Dubuque; and his close friend Phil. He is also survived by cousins, nephews, nieces, friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home (614 N Main St, Davenport, IA 52803). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity.
