It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jean E. Kono of Davenport, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 84, on November 27, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Jean is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Jean's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Bailey and Helen Bailey (Melton). She is survived by: her husband Fred Kono; her children, Matthew Kono and Kristine Knox of Hixson, TN; her granddaughters, Madison, Samantha and Victoria Knox; and her sister Patricia (Richard). She is also survived by 8 nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church (4105 N Division St, Davenport, IA 52807). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the church.
