She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter J. Schmits and Louise H. Schmits (Rosswog); her brother John Schmits; and her sister-in-law Linda Riddell Schmits. She is survived by: her brother Ronald Schmits; her sister-in-law Bonnie Schmits; and her nieces and nephews, Lisa O'Brien (Mike), Tom Schmits, Jane Lunardi (Tony), Betsy Walter (Joel), Amy Gallo (Mike), Katherine DeVan (Mike) and Andrew Schmits (Katherine).

Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Cathedral.
