He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Kraehling and Hilda Kraehling (Schatz); and his brother Eugene Kraehling. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Maggie" Shultz; his children, Joyce Werning (Jason) and Jake Kraehling (Danielle); and his grandchildren, Julia Werning, Harrison Kraehling, Jordan Werning and Lucy Kraehling.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
