He is survived by: his wife Jill Schmidt; his children, David Dean (Shawna) of Fruitland, IA, Alan Dean (Teresa) of Hudsonville, MI and Jennifer Ashby (Mark) of Springfield, WV; and his grandchildren, Scott (Faith), Katie (Josh), Josie, Scarlett, Nathan and Trevor.
